Lyn is a member of the New Zealand Accounting Standards Board and leads PwC’s Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) group, advising companies, the public sector and not-for-profit organisations on complex financial reporting issues under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
As a business combinations expert, Lyn has provided accounting advice relating to a number of initial public offerings, restructures and investment decisions. Her other areas of focus include revenue, share-based payments, income tax and emissions trading. She keeps up to date with current trends and developments in financial reporting and is a frequent speaker on financial reporting topics.
Lyn has more than 20 years' experience dealing with complex accounting issues in the corporate sector, both within PwC’s ACS group and through 12 years' experience providing assurance services to clients across a range of industries. Lyn also spent four years in a commercial environment, working in Operational Audit and Finance Manager roles for Whitbread PLC, a UK-listed leisure retail and fast-moving consumer goods company.
Stephen specialises in IFRS and is recognised as one of NZ’s leading IAS 39 practitioners. Stephen’s specialism in financial instruments and hedge accounting enables him to bring deep technical knowledge and extensive practical experience. He is familiar with current trends and developments ensuring clients always receive the best advice.
Stephen provides IFRS advice to PwC engagement teams and to a large range of clients, where he is the primary accounting advisor. He has also provided one-off IFRS advice to numerous leading organisations. Stephen presents externally on IFRS and other technical accounting issues and is involved in PwC’s internal training programmes.
Prior to joining the Accounting Consulting Services team in 2004 Stephen had spent 10 years working in assurance including 5 years of experience in Canada and the UK primarily servicing clients in the investment management industry.
Troy is a Partner in our Assurance team. His clients include a number of businesses that are investing heavily in R&D, from start-up technology companies to mature manufacturers. His areas of expertise include external audits of private and listed companies, advising companies through IPO/capital raising processes and buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services.
